It's going to take me a good hour to dig out the huge drift at the end of my driveway. I called in to work and no one answered the phone. Hmmm... I will try again in a little bit. Right now time to go out and play in the snow.

So it might have taken me a bit longer than an hour to dig out. I spend about an hour and twenty minutes getting one of the two lane of our driveway open to the street. As you can see in the picture our drive way is only about a car and half long but two cars wide. Between the plows and sidewalk plow they really pack the section of the driveway between the street and sidewalk down pretty good.



gfwtr came out and helped me shovel out this morning. We had a good time shoveling the snow and then afterward we just messed around in the back yard. Her she is trying to make a snow angel. Neither of us ended up going into work. It was 10:30 by the time we got the driveway dug out and it still would have taken me an hour or more to get to work.



We had about 18 inches in the backyard with drift much deeper in spots. After digging out we went and got both mother-in-laws and took them out to Valentine's Day lunch. Just a local dinner, the roads were still pretty rough. After lunch I had to redig out he bottom of the driveway after the plow when back past. Another hour was spent getting it to look like it does above.

Anyway GFWTR is making peanut butter cookies from scratch and I am getting hungry.

Oh and the sun came out about an hour ago.

Too funny. It would have been pretty scary to have been right there with that high explosive warhead, likely armed, laying there on the ground but it's still funny to watch.
