Does Tiramisu and beer count?

So this afternoon I headed downstairs to change my laundry and low-and-behold a starling was flying around the basement. I quickly ran back up the stairs and shut the door to the rest of the house and opened the side door. A little fun chasing the critter around the basement and he was chased up the stairs and out the side door. The low key day resumed.

So while returning to work today after a late lunch at a Aladdin's, a small grocery/take-out place, down by Jacob's Progressive Field I saw Michael Stanley (wiki entry) sitting in a Lexus park on a side street there by the ballpark smoking a cigarette talking to someone else in another car. Yes that was as completely random as it sounds.

I normally don't mentions celebrity sightings like this it's really not my think but in this case I have a connection all-be-it a very very tenuous connection. Back when still and undergrad (1991-92???) Michael Stanley's niece, at the time a college friend of one of my cousins, sang at that cousin's wedding. Despite my geek induced social ineptitude I plucked up courage (with help badgering from several other cousins) and did manage to ask and get a dance with her at the reception.
